About media intelligence

What is media intelligence?

Media intelligence is the analysis of media and social coverage to explain what it means for an organisation: which narratives are forming, why, who is driving them, and what to do. It builds on media monitoring by adding interpretation and recommendations. VEER provides analyst-led media intelligence in Arabic and English across the GCC.

What is the difference between media monitoring and media intelligence?

Media monitoring tells you what was published: mentions, reach and coverage logs. Media intelligence tells you what it means: which narrative is forming, the driver behind sentiment, who is carrying the story and what to do next. VEER delivers both, with every item checked by an analyst before it reaches the client.

How do I choose a media monitoring company in the UAE?

Check five things: whether analysts read Arabic natively, including Gulf and other dialects; whether every item is human-verified; how fast critical alerts arrive; whether reports include interpretation and recommendations, not only data; and how confidentiality is handled. VEER publishes its service levels, including 95% of breaking alerts within 20 minutes and 97% validated relevance accuracy.

Coverage and languages

Which media and platforms does VEER monitor?

VEER monitors print, TV, radio, online news, sector and trade press, blogs and forums, and social media including X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn and Snapchat. Coverage is of open and publicly accessible sources across the GCC, the Levant, Egypt, Iraq and North Africa, plus international outlets covering the region.

Which countries and languages does VEER cover?

VEER covers the six GCC states (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman) with additional coverage of the Levant, Egypt, Iraq and North Africa. Analysis is in Arabic, including Modern Standard Arabic and Gulf, Levantine, Egyptian and Maghrebi dialects, and in English, read side by side.

How does Arabic sentiment analysis work at VEER?

Automated models give a first-pass sentiment score, then native Arabic analysts validate it in context. They account for dialect, sarcasm, indirect criticism and who is speaking, which automated tools often misread. Sentiment is reported as an explained indicator, with the driver behind any change, rather than as a bare percentage.

Does VEER monitor WhatsApp or private groups?

No. VEER monitors open and publicly accessible sources only. Closed and private messaging networks are outside its collection scope. When a narrative originates in a private channel, VEER identifies it at the point it surfaces publicly and tracks it from there.

Reports and alerts

How fast are VEER's alerts?

Critical alerts are escalated within minutes by phone and message to a named contact. VEER commits to delivering 95% of breaking alerts within 20 minutes. High-priority alerts arrive within the agreed service window, and standard items are included in the daily summary. Alerts are delivered by WhatsApp, email or portal notification.

Can VEER deliver reports in Arabic?

Yes. Every VEER report and alert is available in Arabic, English or both side by side. Arabic reporting is written by native Arabic analysts, not machine translated, and can be branded for the client or produced unbranded for onward distribution.

What does a VEER report include?

Every report answers four questions: what happened, why it happened, what it means, and what to do next. Depending on cadence it includes coverage highlights, sentiment and its drivers, narrative analysis, share of voice, influential voices, platform and market breakdowns, and recommendations.

Can agencies use VEER under their own brand?

Yes. PR and public affairs firms can receive VEER reporting unbranded or in their own identity, delivered on their cadence, with VEER analysts available directly to their account teams. This lets agencies offer Arabic media intelligence to clients without building the capability in-house.

Working with VEER

How much does media monitoring cost in Dubai?

Cost depends on scope: the number of entities and topics tracked, the markets and languages covered, the alert and reporting cadence, and the depth of analysis required. VEER prices each engagement to its scope and recommends starting with a paid pilot of four to six weeks so the value can be judged on real output.

How long does it take to start?

VEER reaches steady state four weeks after kick-off: discovery in week one, building the tracking framework in week two, calibration with live monitoring in week three, and the full reporting rhythm in week four. Monitoring of urgent topics can begin sooner if needed.

Is client information kept confidential?

Yes. Access to monitored data and reports is restricted, distribution follows agreed access levels, and information is stored and transmitted securely. VEER handles only publicly available media content and keeps public discourse separate from any private information.

Where is VEER based?

VEER's office is Office 2504, Fortune Executive Tower, Cluster T, Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT), Dubai, UAE. The company, Veer Intelligence Solutions FZC, was founded in 2019 and is registered in Ajman Media City Free Zone. It serves clients across the GCC.
